She has experience and training in delivering effective supervision to her interns and provides both group and individual supervision. Registered Play Therapy Supervision
Kerry is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. She is actively involved in training Play Therapist. She attends yearly national conferences throughout the country which allows her to improve her skills and share them through training opportunities and supervision to her interns. Starting in January 2020, all counselors and therapist working towards credentialing to become a Registered Play Therapist will need to have their supervision completed by a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S). Kerry now provides supervision for prospective play therapist. Kerry traveled to DC in July and attended the Mid-Atlantic Play Therapy Institute and received intensive training in Sand Tray and Drumming!
She met Eliana Gil and author/counselor Paris Goodyear-Brown. Brevard Counseling staff (Kerry, Amy, Stephanie, and Jessica) attending Play Therapy Conference presented by Dr. Terry Kottman-Founder of Adlerian Play Therapy-2 Time Lifetime Achievement Awards-Author of 8 Play Therapy books.
