*Master Level Student Interns co-counsel with LMHCs and they provide independent sessions at a reduced rate. They receive supervision from the Clinical Director and their University on their cases. Most universities require student interns to have 1000 hours of clinical experience prior to graduating. Registered Mental Health Counselors/Social Workers have completed and graduated with their Master's Degree in Counseling/Social Work and have completed a clinical practicum/internship through their University with approximately 1000 clinical hours. The State of Florida requires counselors to complete an additional 1500 clinical hours Post Masters, supervision from a LMHC-QS, and passing the NCMHCE Counselor Exam. Once these requirements are met, then counselors receive their full license (LMHC/LCSW)
